Kenya Airways wants to acquire new Boeings 737 – 800 Max

Kenya Airways wants to continue its plan to strengthen its fleet by buying new Boeing 737 Max type aircraft.

This decision came a few weeks after the crash of a plane belonging to the Ethiopian Airlines airline and causing the death of 157 passengers of 34 different nationalities.

In statements made by Michael Joseph, brought by the country’s economic press, Kenyan’s chairman of the board of directors said the company does not have many choices about strengthening its fleet. As part of Kenya Airways’ expenditure rationalization process, Kenya Airways has no choice but to choose these aircraft, including that the US manufacturer is the one supporting pilot training and maintenance, which can contribute to reducing its financial burden

On the other hand, Mr. Joseph expressed his wish that Boeing will quickly succeed in dealing with any problems encountered by pilots operating this type of aircraft.
